Beauty of soil

Since I'm still busy trying to make-up my mind about my next quilting project, I decided to share some photos of South African soils that I have taken. Soils are wonderfully complex and beautiful, one just has to dig a little deeper...

Those shades of orange and rusts are so rich! I wonder what colors your next quilt will be!

That collage of photos resembles a quilt made with mottled batiks. You have really captured a lot of different colors and textures in the photos.

Lovely collage! Hmm, a soil-inspired quilt on the way?

You should do a picture quilt with those pics they are lovely. Then you could display them all the time as wall hanging. We do have a fantastic country. I love reading your blog.

I thought that I was the only one who loved rock & soil. The colors and textures in your pictures are so inspiring. Thank you for sharing them.
