Star blocks progress

I've been making some progress with the colour selection for my star blocks. I've unpicked the first block I made (previous post). I found it's best to choose the fabrics in daylight; in this way one can really see if the colours work together and whether there is enough contrast between prints. Only another 28 blocks to go...

These are really gorgeous! That cooler background really works well on the top one. I tried to make an all yellow quilt last year, and I had to add other colors to make it work. Somewhere I heard that the hardest thing to paint is a yellow painting. I'll look forward to seeing more of your stars!
