Paper-Piecing update

So my paper-piecing project has reached an approximate size of 72" x 85", which should fit a queen size double bed. All that I have left to do now is fill in all the background hexagons using the Kaffe Fassett's Chalk Spots print, and then I must figure out the layout and assemble all the rosettes and stars. Should take me about another month or so...

And the winner of the 100th Blog Post Giveaway is...

And the winner is comment number 8!

Congratulations to Lee Ann from Nifty Quilts, she wrote the following comment:

"Congratulations on your 100th post! I enjoy seeing every one of your creations. Your prize is very generous! I think my favorite Kaffe fabric is the turquoise awning stripe.I tried desperately to find two more yards for a border recently with no luck."

I will be shipping off 100 charm squares of Kaffe Fassett fabric shortly! I can't wait to see what she makes with it.

Getting there...

We had a lovely long weekend, so I made quite a bit of progress on my hexagon quilt. Also a few more purple-toned fabrics that I ordered from Kaffe Fassett's latest collection arrived by post last week. Just in time!

Also we got a new little budgie friend for Sweety-Bird and Luc. Her name is Cutie. I think that she looks like a cloudy sky. She is very playful and a bit boisterous; she spends a lot of time chasing the two males around. They're not used to such a bold budgie, LOL.
